About Us
Meet the team and find out more about Coaster Breaks
Marcus Gear | Founder & Director
I have always had a fascination with Theme Park since visiting Alton Towers for the opening year of Oblivion, the world first vertical drop roller coaster! At the time, the ride was incredibly unique and terrifying, plus I was probably the smallest person on there that day!
Since then, combining theme parks with my love of travel and my expertise in marketing sporting and music events, Coaster Breaks was created during the Corona Virus pandemic of 2020. I went to Energylandia in Poland on my own and thought there has to be a better way to do this and now here we are!

Sam Morris | Tour Manager
I had been a casual roller coaster fan since childhood and I still have a book on my shelf from my parents that showcases the biggest rides that were brand new at the time like The Big One and Dragon Khan!
My enthusiasm for theme parks was rejuvenated after a UK road trip with some friends in 2020. A year later, I made my first solo international trip to visit Phantasialand and discovered just how much European theme parks have to offer.
Mere months after that trip, I found Coasterbreaks, and a few tours later, I have finally been able to ride many of my 'bucket list' rides, including some from that book!
Now that I've ridden 400+ roller coasters, it's become just as much fun to experience other people's reactions to the rides I love as it is to ride them myself!

Gabriela Fernandes | Administration Assistant
Helping out behind the scenes you can find Gabriela Fernandes and occasionally if you are lucky will be joined for on a tour with Coaster Breaks owner, Marcus Gear.
Gabby as she is better known has over 700 roller coaster credits and still claims that nothing can come close to the Ride to Happiness at Plopsaland. From Brazil, her rank 0 coaster is Montezum at Hopi Hari, a coaster that is far too rough for most people!
Gabby also runs Extended Tour which can be found on Instagram and YouTube and her editing skills has created some of the best theme park vlogs you can watch!
