South West Germany & France
New for 2022
A new year and a new tour is ready to launch into 2022 with the South West Germany and France trip planned to depart at least 4 times throughout the theme park season.
This tour was originally announced with Coaster Breaks as Paris to Paris, however there have been a few changes in order to streamline your trip for the best experience possible.
The starting destination is now at Frankfurt, staying close by at the airport at the Holiday Inn Express where you will get to meet your group. The tour will now end at Ashford International Station back in the UK. Getting to Frankfurt is very easy from many UK airports with multiple departures throughout the day including almost one per hour at Heathrow. This will make the start of your trip a breeze as we get ready to welcome you for your Coaster Break.
The parks have had a slight shuffle around as well due to the change in starting destination. The new order is:
Holiday Park
Erlebnispark Tripsdrill
Europa Park
Walygator Parc
Nigloland
Parc Asterix
Parc Saint Paul
The new addition is Parc Saint Paul for half a day as a pit stop while we are on our way back to the UK. Rather than spend a day travelling, let’s go get 6 new credits including the awesome Gravity Group wooden coaster, Wood Express!
With the trip starting at Holiday Park, you will get to experience one of the world’s best coasters with Expedition GeForce. Next on the list is the very quirky Erlebnispark Tripsdrill with lots of unique coasters and theming including the awesome Karacho and the recent new additions by Vekoma, Hals-Uber-Kopf and Volldampf.
The third day will take us to the Golden Ticket winner for World’s Best Theme Park, Europa Park. This huge park with 13 coasters is owned by Mack Rides and features some of the best theming and attention to detail in the world.
Next on our list, we head in to France to visit Walygator Parc. This French park is owned by the same company as Oakwood in Wales and the stand out coaster Monster is a huge and intense B&M invert.
Our tour then heads to the charming Nigloland which features two impressive Mack coasters. Alpina Blitz is a fun and intense mini mega coaster and Krampus Expedition is the new for 2021 heavily themed water coaster.
In the evening we head to northern Paris where we will stay near Charles de Gaulle airport ready for our final days on tour. Only 15 minutes away from our accommodation in the morning is Parc Asterix where you will get to step into the cartoon world based on the comics with impressive scenery and a host of coasters including the newly revamped Tonnerre 2 Zeus.
A final meal and the last chance to get some drinks with the group in the evening before heading to bed and our final park in the morning with Parc Saint Paul.
After a few hours in the park until early afternoon we head back to Calais EuroTunnel and cross on the 17:55 for arrival at 17:25 due to the time difference. This will get you to Ashford International by 18:00 ready to catch any connecting trains home or if easier, a second drop off at Gatwick Airport is also possible.
I am very excited to start these new tours alongside the existing Belgium, Germany & the Netherlands Tour and can’t wait to go on sale which should be soon. The hotels have been finalised and I am happy with the selection we will be staying at. As always, due to unforeseen circumstances, occasionally the hotels may change however the list of our accommodations is below:
